Niamh Greene’s fourth book Rules for a Perfect Life is due out on 3rd June 2010, and sounds like a fun read. I also like the blue cover, it makes a change from shades of white and cream! Here’s the synopsis:
“Rules for a perfect life . . .
Rule One: Do not ditch the man everyone says is perfect for you because he eats the last yellow jelly-baby in the bag.
Rule Two: Do not move to a shack in the country to ‘find yourself’ and inadvertently become an object of ridicule for the locals.
Rule Three: Do not fall for a man who already has three children who hate you, a saintly dead wife you can never live up to and a mother who thinks you are the hired help.
Maggie wants the perfect life – but if she keeps breaking the rules can she ever have it?”

Angela Clark is back… and this time she’s heading the hills of Hollywood! After being cheated on at her best friend’s wedding and consequently fleeing to New York, Angela is now settled in her relationship with boyfriend Alex and enjoying her job as a high flying journalist. She’s stunned when she’s called in to her editor’s office to find she’s being sent to interview Hollywood heart-throb and fellow Brit James Jacobs. Angela flies across the US to Hollywood, and is greeted by sunshine, beaches and Rodeo Drive. Together with her best friend Jenny, they enjoy the unexpected trip and Angela sets to work interviewing James. But with Angela, nothing ever goes smoothly. The paparazzi photo Angela in some rather compromising pictures with James, and she has to fight to get everyone to believe there is nothing to the pictures. Linda Kelsey’s new book, The Twenty Year Itch, is due out in hardback (right) on 7th January 2010 and in paperback (left) on 18th March 2010 and both have different covers. Which do you prefer? I quite like the paperback version myself. Here’s the synopsis for The Twenty-Year Itch:
Can love survive long-term in the twenty-first century? Julie is beginning to doubt it. When her husband of twenty years announces that he is chucking his job to embark on an adult gap year leaving his salary and Julie behind, she puts her marriage under the microscope.
Turning to her friends for comfort and advice, Julie finds that their relationships are falling apart too. Surely they can’t all be innocent victims? Or all bad wives? Is there no such thing as an enduring marriage? Does that twenty-year itch just have to be scratched?
While this emotional maelstrom rages around her, meeting someone new is the last thing on Julie’s mind. Until a chance encounter propels her onto a sexual collision course with a man who spells danger . . .

It’s currently untitled but I was thrilled to see Matt Dunn’s next release is already on Amazon and slated for a release this autumn! Even more exciting is that it brings back the fabulous characters of Ed and Dan from Dunn’s previous releases “The Ex-Boyfriend’s Handbook” and “Ex-Girlfriends United“, one of the best male friendships written in the genre! It’s due out on 30th September 2010, and here’s the synopsis:
“Edward Middleton is ecstatic: his girlfriend Sam has asked him to marry her - and of course he’s said yes. But his plans for a lavish white wedding to declare his love to the world are scuppered when Sam announces she’d prefer a no-nonsense registry office do, and that she’ll make all the arrangements. With the wedding date fast approaching, Edward becomes somewhat uneasy at Sam’s secret meetings and private phone calls which she dismisses as ‘wedding stuff’. And when he spies her disappearing into a pub with a man he’s never seen before, all his old jealousies and insecurities threaten to re-surface. At the same time, Edward is wondering whether it was a sensible idea to ask his best friend Dan to be his best man: Dan’s proposed stag night celebrations of stripper-led debauchery in Amsterdam don’t exactly tally with Edward’s desire for a low-key affair. When a severely hungover Edward wakes up in his hotel room the morning after the night before and realizes with horror what he must have done, it looks as though the wedding might be cancelled in any case. Will Edward come clean to Sam? Who is the mystery man she’s been seeing? And will they ever make it up the aisle?”
