    About/Contact Us

Chick Lit Reviews does accept review copies from authors, publishers, and PR companies but is in no way paid to review any of these books. We do not, I’m afraid, accept ebooks or PDF/Word files containing a book as we don’t have any kind of device within which to read these books. Chick Lit Reviews are totally honest in their book reviews, regardless of whether the book was sent in by a publisher or bought from a shop. We endeavour to read as many books as possible that we are sent to review, but we make no promises as we are sent quite a lot of books and there are only so many hours in a day!

As there are two of us that run the website, we’d very much like it if, when offered a book, two copies could be sent out as both Chloe and I (Leah) read the same type of books and there are some books we’re both eager to read. It is much appreciated and will garner a “Double Review” on the website.

We also have a new American contributor, Danielle, who is ready and willing to accept any books willing to be sent in by American publishers/authors so please contact us at [email protected] if you’d like Danielle to consider reviewing your book on this website.

We rate our books on a scale of 1 to 5, like so:

1/5: Not our cup of tea at all.
2/5: Still not really our cup of tea, but showed signs of promise.
3/5: Not exactly good but not exactly bad either.
4/5: Fantastic, but with some negatives.
5/5: Absolutely stunning, worthy of being our “Book of the Year”.

For anything: books reviews, exclusive news pieces we haven’t yet posted about, guest posts/reviews, authors wanting a mention for their new book that we may have missed, independent publishers wanting their books recognised or if you’re a publisher who wants us to run a competition, email us at [email protected].

    about us

Chick Lit Reviews was started on March 25th 2009 because I, Leah, wanted a place to write about the books I read and to update people on when new books by their favourite authors are going to be released. As well as posting news and reviews we also do weekly features including author interviews and author of the week and we also run competitions. We moved from WordPress to our own domain name on 10th August 2009. Chloe joined me at Chick Lit Reviews in late April and posts book news and reviews. Danielle, our new American contributor, joined the website in 2010.

Leah, site owner and editor, is 20, lives in Tenerife and loves books, movies, American TV shows, and sports. As well as being a huge Chick Lit and Women’s Fiction fan, she also enjoys the odd crime novel, particularly if it’s the new Tess Gerritsen novel. When I’m not reading books you’ll find me watching Chick Flick movies or American TV shows (The Mentalist, Criminal Minds, The Closer, et al) and I also love watching football (I’m a Manchester United fan), Formula One, Baseball and Moto GP. She currently works at Iceland and spends all of her spare time reading.

Chloe is 24, and is mum to Harry, 4. She lives in Berkshire and is a huge fan of chick lit.

Danielle is 31, and lives in California. She is the American contributor for the site, and also runs a children’s book website, http://www.theresabook.com/
