Book Review: The Mistress by Martine McCutcheon

On Mandy Sanderson’s thirtieth birthday, it seems that she has everything going for her. She has a fab job, even better friends and a fantastic family. The only thing she seems to be missing is someone to love.

Until she meets Jake when she’s having her thirtieth birthday dinner at a posh restaurant. Mandy and Jake seem to click and she finally feels as if she’s found The One. It turns out, though, that Jake is already married with two children. Mandy never thought she’d be someone’s mistress but it seems she may have no choice in the matter…

Book Snippet: Milly Johnson

We had a message from the lovely Milly Johnson today with some exclusive news about her 5th novel which is due out in 2011! It’s going to be called Here Come The Girls and is about 4 women on a Mediterranean cruise! Sounds fab, and I can’t wait for it! Thanks for the gossip Milly!

If you can’t wait that long, Milly’s 4th book, A Summer Fling, is coming out in May.

Book Cover: Other People's Secrets by Louise Candlish

Louise Candlish’s next book is due out on 24th June 2010 and will be titled Other People’s Secrets. I wasn’t a huge fan of Louise’s previous book but I adored Since I Don’t Have You so will undoubtedly be giving this a go. I quite like the cover, although I’ll think it’ll look much better once we can actually see it. Here’s the synopsis:

When Ginny and Adam Trustlove arrive for a holiday in Italy they are torn apart by personal tragedy. A boathouse on peaceful Lake Orta is exactly the place to start piecing together their lives. A day later, the silence is broken by the arrival at the main house of the Sale family: wealthy, successful Martin and Bea and their privileged, confident offspring. It doesn’t take long for Ginny and Adam to be drawn in, especially when the teenage Pippi introduces a new friend into the mix. For there is something about Zach that seems to loosen old secrets and create shocking new ones …
