Lives full of sisterly love and conflict, yearning for babies and grandchildren, passion and disillusionment with men, a secret decade long affair, the loss of a job, the death of a child …These women are as imperfect as real women, made heroic by their ability to resolve conflict, to endure and support each other. Posted on Monday, January 4th, 2010 by Leah

There are only two releases from Little Black Dress in January. I’m so excited about The Death of Bridezilla, it sounds fantastic. I also adore the cover for Crystal Clear. Isn’t it so pretty?

    Nell Dixon - Crystal Clear - 7th January 2010

For years Zee has tried to ignore her real name (who calls their kid Azure Dawn?) and her mother Marla’s alternative lifestyle. A million miles away from all that new-age nonsense, she’s got a reliable teaching job, a perfect life plan and sensible accountant Simon for a fiancé. But when Marla gets sick, the foundations of Zee’s rock-steady world are seriously shaken. Soon she’s back home, in touch with the boy who broke her heart and even being sucked into one of her mum’s hare-brained schemes. What about Zee’s plans for the future? Could they ever include a free-spirit from her past?

Laurie Brown - Death of Bridezilla - 21st January 2010

After the collapse of her wedding-planning business, Caroline Tucker returns to her childhood New Mexico home, hoping to leave recent troubles behind her. But then she agrees to help organise her cousin’s wedding, and it’s not long before her frustration levels with the hellish Barbara reach breaking point. Driving through a local beauty spot the morning of the wedding, Caroline is shocked to discover the tangled pink mess of Barbara’s car, and even more so when she’s arrested for her murder. Suddenly she finds herself face-to-face with Sheriff Travis Beaumont, the ruggedly handsome cop who also happens to be her ex-husband. Caroline had hoped she’d never see Travis again; now she’ll have to find a way of working closely with him to have any chance of proving her innocence…
