Book News: The Things We Do For Love by Roisin Meaney

Posted By Leah on January 24th, 2011

Roisin Meaney’s latest novel The Things We Do For Love is due out on 10th February 2011 and it sounds like a really interesting novel. I’ve recently read one of Roisin’s books (Half Seven on a Thursday) and I really enjoyed it so I’ll definitely be looking out for The Things We Do For Love. There’s no official synopsis, but this is what Roisin had to say on her website:

When Audrey Matthews offers an evening class in life drawing, all she’s looking for is a little extra pocket money and something to fill her Tuesday nights. She hires a model and recruits six students, and the classes get underway. But by the end of the first term, none of their lives, least of all Audrey’s, will be left untouched…

Miranda Dickinson vlogs about It Started With A Kiss

Posted By Leah on January 24th, 2011

I’m a huge fan of Miranda Dickinson, and have enjoyed both of the books she’s had published. I’m really looking forward to her next book It Started With A Kiss which is out in November and I was thrilled to learn that once a week Miranda will post up a new vlog (video blog) about It Started With A Kiss chronicalling how it all comes together, from first draft, through edits, to shelf and beyond!

Miranda has agreed I can post up the videos onto the site, so here are the first two installments, they’re brilliant and listen out for the site being name-checked in video two! If you have any questions for Miranda (which she’ll answer in the next video), put them in a comment below and I’ll send them over to her! Also, if you’d like to follow Miranda yourself, here is her blog: Coffee and Roses.
