Hannah Cumming has moved over to the UK on a bit of a whim. She’s an American who recently lost her job, and so decided to do something completely new and exciting… move to another country. However, when she gets here, Hannah realises that perhaps she’s made a bit of a mistake because she hasn’t really got a clue about anything. She’s got no job, no place to live, and doesn’t seem to understand half the things the British people around her are saying. Hannah’s determined to make it work, and when she meets the lovely Mark, it looks like things might be on the up for her. But when the going gets tough, is Hannah going to get going again?

As we mentioned last week, Sophie Kinsella’s publishers are re-publishing the books she wrote under her real name of Madeleine Wickham. Cocktails For Three is due out on 19th August 2010 and I love the cover. I may well have to pick this up for myself because I adore her books under ‘Sophie Kinsella’. Here’s the synopsis:

Three women, smart and successful, working in the fast and furious world of magazines, meet for cocktails and gossip once a month. OK, so this post doesn’t really need any kind of introduction because the title kind of speaks for itself. But an email came through on Friday afternoon where Sophie reads from Mini Shopaholic so I’ve decided to embed it here for you all.
