Book News: French Kissing by Catherine Sanderson
June 22nd, 2009 by Leah
Catherine Sanderson, who wrote the non-fiction novel Petite Anglaise about her life in France, is releasing her debut fiction novel on the 27th August titled French Kissing. The synopsis, which sounds great, reads:
Name: Sally Marshall.
Status: single mother.
Age: 32.
Nationality: 10 years in France, yet still English through and through.
I like: living in Paris, playing with my daughter Lila (4-years-old), the company of good friends, the smell of baking bread. So reads Sally’s ad, posted on a French online dating site called Rendez-Vous. Sally left Nicolas, her French boyfriend of ten years and Lila’s father, after she discovered he was having an affair with his secretary.
Six months have now passed, she’s beginning to bounce back. But making a new start is fraught with complications, and to what extent can she keep Lila and her love life separate…

Can’t wait to get my own copy. When Petitie Anglaise first came out, and I found out Malaysia didn’t have it on the shelves, Ms Sanderson read my blog and VERY KINDLY sent me my very own signed copy. Aaaaaaaah!!
Sounds like a great read. But as for the blurb describing Petite as a ‘non-fiction novel’ - perhaps someone needs to look up the definition of novel….
I look forward to enjoying some French Kissing!
