Book Review: One Thing Led To Another by Katy Regan

Tess Jarvis lives her life by lots of rules. Mainly how she and her flatmate should treat the guests who come to their flat for parties! One thing Tess doesn’t bank on is becoming pregnant. Not only that but the father is none other than her best friend Jim.

As Tess comes to terms with her pregnancy and finds herself with a lot of growing up to do, care she and Jim destined to be best friends forever or is there more to their relationship that meets the eye?

Book Review: Things I Want My Daughter to Know by Elizabeth Noble (CHLOE)

Barbara has been diagnosed with cancer, and realises she isn’t going to be around for her family much longer. So she decides to write her four daughters a series of letters, each personal and individual for them, so that they have a little bit of their mother left after she has gone.

Her daughters are devastated at their loss, but will they manage to draw any comfort from their mothers letters?? Will they be able to come together as a family to miss their mother properly, and will the letters set them free from the lives they are living in?

Author of the Week: Kate Lace

Kate Lace is the author of 4 Little Black Dress novels and her 4th, Love Boat, is out in October. Kate also writes romantic fiction under the name of Catherine Jones (her actual name!) .

Before turning to writing Kate was in the Army and got promoted to Captain. She also met and married her husband during her Army days. After falling pregnant and having to leave the Army, Kate was invited to help out on a magazine and that is where she discovered she could really write. Kate has also appeared on University Challenge in 2005.

I read The Chalet Girl ages ago and really enjoyed it. I’ll have to try and get my hands on it again. I love Little Black Dress books so it’s great to have another author whose LBD books I enjoy. Her other novels are The Trophy Girl, The Movie Girl and The Love Boat. I haven’t read any of those but do want to read them!

Book News: The Love Boat by Kate Lace

Kate Lace, the pen name of Catherine Jones, has her fourth Little Black Dress release out on October 1st. It’s called The Love Boat. Having enjoyed The Chalet Girl, I look forward to The Love Boat. The synopsis reads:

Working as a chef on a luxurious holiday yacht, Poppy’s come a long way from her parents’ pub in Cornwall and enjoys a tranquil existence sailing around the Greek islands.

Until the Garvie family show up that is. When their boisterous behaviour forces Poppy to pay a visit to a super-yacht docked nearby, she meets handsome deckhand Charlie and everything gets a lot more exciting.

She wouldn’t mind getting cosy in her cabin with him! But why does Jake, the brooding skipper, keep rocking the boat? When it comes to falling in love, Poppy may be in danger of going overboard…
