Book Review: His Other Lover by Lucy Dawson

Posted By Leah on May 4th, 2009

lucydawsonhisotherloverMia thinks of herself as a grown up. Her twenty-two-year-old sister, Clare, is once again in the death throes of an affair that was always doomed to failure. Mia now understands that relationships need work; that in an adult partnership, passion and spontaneity give way to something different but more lasting. With Pete she knows that her search for ‘The One’ can stop.

Until, tripping over Pete’s phone on the way to the loo one night, she reads a text message that sends her blood cold. Everything in it - its tone, the kisses at the end, Pete’s evasions about the sender ‘Liz’ - is wrong, and suddenly the blinkers are off. It’s time to get back in the game, and with everything to play for, Mia is about to discover a capacity for deceit she never knew she had.

After all, when Happy Ever After is at stake, any weapon at your disposal is fair game - isn’t it?

Book News: Sapphire by Katie Price

Posted By Chloe on May 4th, 2009

katiepricesapphireKatie Price aka Jordan has really become quite a success with her novels Angel, Angel Uncovered and Crystal. Her fun and enjoyable stories have been read by women up and down the country, with her fourth book, Sapphire, sure to be yet another hit with her readers. It’s due out on July 30th, but I’m sure it will be worth the wait. Check out the synopsis:

“Sapphire Jones doesn’t believe in relationships anymore - not since she caught her husband in bed with another woman. Now Sapphire only sees men on her terms which is why her current lover is younger than her, good looking, doesn’t place any emotional demands on her [so far, fingers crossed] and is great in bed. What more does a girl need?

Sapphire puts all her passion into running her own business - a high end lingerie and hen weekend company. She is doing well and life seems pretty good until she meets a very handsome, charming businessman who seems more than a match for Sapphire. Then things go badly wrong at the hen party she has planned for a soap star and tabloid darling.

The evening is one that everyone will be talking about for all the wrong reasons and Sapphire faces front page headlines all of her own…Suddenly her business is in jeopardy, her well-controlled private life is falling apart, and in the middle of all this Sapphire realises that she is not immune to love after all, but has she left it too late? “

Sounds like another outrageously readable book from the massively successful Katie Price, and we fully expect it to be another hit! Look out for it in the shops at the end of July.
