Since November 2009Book Cover: Mini Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella

In some VERY exciting news, the book cover for the brand new and highly anticipiate new Sophie Kinsella book Mini Shopaholic has been released! I have to say I am a little disappointed as it’s not overly colourful and I don’t think it’ll stand out too much on a bookshelf, but then again it could be worse! What do you think of it?
“Becky Brandon (nee Bloomwood) thought motherhood would be a breeze – but it’s trickier than she thought. Two-year-old Minnie is a little tearaway who has created havoc everywhere from Harrods to Harvey Nicks to her own christening. She hires taxis at random, her favourite word is ‘Mine’, and she already has a penchant for Balenciaga bags. Becky is at her wits’ end.
On top of this, she and Luke are still living with her Mum and Dad, there’s a big financial crisis so everyone’s having to Cut Back – including all her personal shopping clients – and her husband Luke is feeling low after the death of his beloved stepmother. To cheer Luke up, Becky decides to throw him a surprise birthday party – on a budget – and that’s when things become really complicated. Will Minnie give everything away? Will Minnie’s godparents ever stop arguing? Who will end up on the naughty step and who will get a gold star? It’s not quite as simple as the others, is it? I still like it though, but would have preferred them all to match and have no people on the cover.
I can’t wait for this.. all my other Shopaholic books are paperback, but I’ll have to buy the hardback until then. Yay!
A new shopaholic book? Yay. I wouldn’t care if it was covered in a paper bag I’m so excited.
I like it, but agree with Jenny, it would have been nice if it matched the others. Very pretty though, and more, I don’t know, grown up

I’m not to keen on the cover and may miss it looking in a bookstore but I would certainly pick it up as Sophie Kinsella is one of my favourite authors.

OMG! I AM SO EXCITED! I don’t care what the book is about, I will read ANYTHING Sophie Kinsella writes!!

Ok maybe it’s time to admit I haven’t read any of the shopaholic books… where should I start? Do I need to read them all?
At the beginning: Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic then Shopaholic Abroad then Shopaholic Ties The Knot then Shopaholic & Sister then Shopaholic & Baby and then the new one when it’s out. You must read ‘em all! (They’re that good!)
I am patiently waiting (ha, patiently is so not the word!) for this book to come out. It’s great to see the cover for the first time. I think it’s a great cover for the nature of the book, but it doesn’t jump out at me as a Sophie Kinsella book.
To all of you who are looking forward to the new ‘Shopaholic’. Are you aware that Sophie Kinsella used to publish under the name Madeleine Wickham? There are at least half a dozen titles. They might not be ‘Shopaholic’, but they’re really good. Enjoy!

It’s out September 21st according to amazon.com. Can’t wait.
I dislike it for many reasons… firstly, we do not know much about what Becky looks like, and Sophie Kinsella did this for a reason, so we could “make our own Becky” so to speak.
HOWEVER we know she is a size twelve… and that woman is basically size zero!! Secondly she hates Venetia and talks alot about her hair being red… also she explains she is NOTHING like Jasmine due to her “long blonde tendrils”… so this makes her brunette, right? And in Mini shopaholic she describes mini as having “dark” hair… so it links, they are both dark brunette… not auburn!!!!!!!!!
