Book Awards 2010: Readers Choice Book of the Year Award

Posted By Leah on October 6th, 2010

This year Chloe, Danielle and myself have decided to add a new category for our Book Awards, which are coming in December, where our readers (that’s you!) can vote for what they think is their favourite book of the year. First, though, we need some contenders. So please put in your top three choices for favourite book of 2010 (and that has been released in 2010) into the Google form below and at the end of November we’ll tally up the votes and the three with the most votes will be made into a poll in December before the ultimate winner is announced during the Chick Lit Reviews Awards 2010! You can find the list of 2010 releases on our Release Dates page here.

Please note that you CANNOT enter the same book three times and that book choices MUST have been released in 2010 otherwise your entries will be deleted.

The tent, the bucket and me might not actually qualify as chick lit since my husband, dad and sons have enjoyed this book as much as me, my mum and my sons girlfriends - but as a brilliant book it really should be given a chance

I have read Spotlight, and I am counting the days until Ms. Fox releases her next bookl. Her first novel. The Making of Mia, was very captivating.. and she didn’t disappoint us with her follow up book. BRAVO Ilana Fox!!! Good luck in the contest!!l

‘Katy Carter Wants a Hero’ is hilarious, poignant, dreamy and real at the same time. Ruth Saberton manages to take the reader into the fantasy they want, from the pink cover, to the painful, gut-wrenching laughter of girly antics, then into the real world; and still ends with Austen-like serenity.
Can’t wait for ‘Second Thoughts’!
Thank you Ruth and good luck!

I loved Adele parks men I’ve loved before, Has anyone else read this? if you haven’t I’d recommend it.

If anyone is undecided what to vote for I can recommend my book Breaking the Ice (available online from Amazon, Waterstones, W H Smith). I write chicklit/contemporary romantic fiction and I’m not signed to a large publishing house (yet!). It would be a vote for the underdog of the literary world!

Good Luck to all Authors. I have read so many fab books this year but I narrowed it down to my 3 favourite- Carole Matthews the only way is up, Melissa Hill - Please Forgive Me and Sophie Kinsella Mini Shopaholic, I laughed so much at that book.

Loved loved love A Moment Like Forever, Martina Reilly - fantastic humour and a great twist - best twist ever. Rules for a perfect Life was funny too and Zoe Millars eye for descriptive detail always astounds me, and her characters are great.
