Little Black Dress have three offerings out in October and all sound fantastic!allie spencer tug of love

ALLIE SPENCER - TUG OF LOVE - 1ST OCTOBER
Unsurprisingly, divorce barrister Lucy Stone is a bit of a cynic when it comes to love. And working with egotistical weasel Hugo Spade doesn’t help matters. Then Mark comes along, ticking all the boxes, and Lucy can’t believe her luck.

But when Lucy has to choose between the man of her dreams and the career opportunity of a lifetime, it seems there really is no justice in the world. And the re-appearance of sexy-ex Jonathan is the last thing she needs.

Is Lucy about to be found guilty of making the biggest mistake of her life?sally anne morris trick or treat

SALLY ANNE MORRIS - TRICK OR TREAT? - 15TH OCTOBER
Ever thought you were hearing voices in your head? Welcome to Lucy Diamond’s world… Nothing seems out of the ordinary about Lucy. Well, not until she starts hearing the voices of grumbling ghouls from beyond the grave.

Hippie-mom Jasmine arranged for Lucy to develop the Gift and unlike the other presents of vegan cookbooks and tie-dye blouses, this one Lucy can’t return to the store. The Dead aren’t going anywhere until she sorts out their problems.

But how can she be expected to deal with the lives of those in Limbo when she can’t even manage her own?loveboatkatelace

Cover vs. Cover - The Gift by Cecelia Ahern

ceceliathegiftThe Gift Cecelia Ahern (pb)The paperback copy of Cecelia Ahern’s magical novel The Gift is due out this week, and with it comes a new cover. I absolutely love the hardback version with its silver foil stars over the front making it look very magical and pretty, but the bright red with the ribbon does look very festive which is apt as the book is set at Christmas time! Which is your favourite? Here’s the synopsis in case this book has passed you by:

“Lou Suffern is practised in the art of concealment. He is, also, always overstretched, trying to do too many things at once. His overburdened schedule gives him few moments of peace, even in his sleep. And when he spends time at home with his wife and family, he is always distracted, and, mentally, somewhere else. On a cold winter morning, Lou is on his way to work when he encounters Gabe, a homeless street dweller, sitting outside an office building. Lou is intrigued by him, and contrives to get him a job in the post room. But this act of charity rebounds on him, and Gabe’s presence begins to grate on Lou — particularly when he discovers that the latter seems capable of being in two places at the same time. Christmas is drawing near, and before the season is over, Lou’s life will be irrevocably change by the casual act of kindness he has performed.”
