Why we like/dislike it: This is a cover I’ve seen a couple of times and both times it absolutely caught my attention. I was drawn to read the synopsis by simply glancing at the cover those times I saw it. Now, having studied the cover more and more (without taking the synopsis into consideration) I started to wish there was just a little bit more spark to it. It’s still extremely catchy in my opinion, but I was hoping for a little more like a toned down version of Allison Winn Scotch’s recent paperback covers with the confetti. Because as it stands now the red and very light yellow dots seem more like an afterthought. Still, though, a very fun cover and a book I’m looking forward to picking up in August when it releases!
Overall mark out of 10:
Would we buy this book based on its cover?

Do Judge A Book By Its Cover is a new feature on Chick Lit Reviews, where we take a look at some of the best (and worst) Chick Lit covers in existence. No synopsis, no hint of the story, just plain old book cover judging, with marks out of 10!

I would buy this. It’s eye-catching in its simpleness. It seems to fit the cover perfectly and it’s one I would definitely buy!

I wouldn’t. I like the title, but the cover is just boring.

And the dress is just SO unflattering. Who would wear that? They could’ve easily find a better white dress or even more of them since this is apparently about multiple girls.
All in all, no, wouldn’t buy.

It definitely grabs my attention!

For some reason - no idea why - I find photographs of real people on book covers to be a complete turn-off.
Photos of scenery don’t turn me off in the same way. But, if the picture is of a person I find it much more appealing if it’s a drawing rather than a photo.
I have no explanation for it at all, but a psychologist would have a field day with it, I’m sure!

I wouldn’t buy it - tho I do love the hidden face - but wouldn’t intrigue me enough to pick it out on a shelf.

I love the cover. Something about the way she’s covering her face with the bouquet. Makes me want to find out more.

I’m the same as Nicky, I don’t like real people on books at all! I do find the white and grey a bit too bland, there isn’t a lot to make it stand out at all :(
