Book News: Twelve Days of Christmas by Trisha Ashley
June 21st, 2010 by Leah
Trisha Ashley’s latest book, Twelve Days of Christmas, is due out on October 28th - just in time for the start of the Christmas season, I’m sure you will agree! It sounds like a fab read and one I’ll certainly be picking up, plus the cover is so lovely which always helps. It’ll be the second book out this year to have the title The Twelve Days of Christmas (although it was originally called Twelfth Night, but Shakespeare ruled that out!). The other book with the same title is Amy Silver’s new one which we posted about last week! Here’s the synopsis for Trisha’s Twelve Days of Christmas!
Christmas has always been a sad time for young widow Holly Brown, so when she’s asked to look after a remote house on the Lancashire moors, the opportunity to hide herself away is irresistible – the perfect excuse to forget about the festivities.Sculptor, Jude Martland, is determined that this year there will be no Christmas after his brother runs off with his fiancée and he is keen to avoid the family home. However, he will have to return by Twelfth Night, when the hamlet of Little Mumming hold their historic festivities and all of his family are required to attend.Meanwhile, Holly is finding that if she wants to avoid Christmas, she has come to the wrong place. When Jude unexpectedly returns on Christmas Eve he is far from delighted to discover that Holly seems to be holding the very family party he had hoped to avoid.Suddenly, the blizzards come out of nowhere and the whole village is snowed in. With no escape, Holly and Jude get much more than they bargained for – it looks like the twelve days of Christmas are going to be very interesting indeed!

Book sounds great too so will add to my wish list
I love books about Christmas - especially romantic books about Christmas. And a blizzard? I ask you, how could anything be more romantic?! Already know I’m going to love this one - but then I just settle in and totally enjoy reading anything Trisha comes up with. Forget Calgon!
This book was a lovely read, I couldn’t put it down and even woke up early so I had time to read a chapter or two before venturing off to work..HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
