Book Cover: The Brightest Star in the Sky by Marian Keyes

Posted By Chloe on June 7th, 2009

I’m not sure yet whether it is the official cover, but the publishers Penguin have posted this as the cover for Marian Keyes’ latest novel The Brightest Star in the Sky which is due out October 29th this year.

If it is the one, it’s very pretty but quite dark compared to most of Marian’s other covers! I will keep an eye on Amazon in case they change it, but for now I thought I would post this to get you excited about the book.

For a synopsis of the book, see our earlier post here

Thanks to Suzana at Bookalicious for the heads up!

Aww, thanks! And isn’t it beautiful? So simple, but it really works! I love how they seem to have redesigned Marian Keyes covers as they used to be quite boring (they really didn’t do the fabulous stories any justice) - unlike the cover of This Charming Man in paperback, which is possibly one of the best covers I’ve seen, even though it’s very simple, just grey with white and pink text with some silver stars and swirls or whatever, but it’s absolutely wonderful in real life (not online). Sooo yeah, I hope they keep this cover and I cannot wait to read the book (so very excited, I was promised a proof so I hope to read it before October as that’s just too far away and I’m an impatient bookworm). Whoops, I tend to get carried away (evidently) but OK, I’ll shut up now. ;)
