Thanks to the fab Helena at Headline, we have an exclusive for you! It’s the jacket for Jill Mansell’s new book Take A Chance On Me which is due out in February 2010! I think it’s gorgeous, and I love the colours! What do you think? Here’s the synopsis again:

An Offer You Can’t Refuse tells us the story of Lola Malone. At the start of the book, Lola is a 17 year old girl in love with her boyfriend Dougie. But when Dougie’s mother offers her £10,000 to break up with her son, Lola takes the money and leaves Dougie well alone.

But she gets a shock ten years later when the Malone’s come back into her life and she finds out how much she missed Dougie. However, is he going to find out Lola took money for breaking up with him? And will Lola be able to win back Dougie with the help of his sister Sally and best mate Gabe?

I posted a couple of days ago that I’d read that Jill Mansell’s next novel was to be called Take A Chance On Me and was to be released in 2010. I was right and Amazon have added it to their site. It will be out February 4th and the synopsis reads:

Also fans of Chris Manby will be thrilled to know her next novel is going to be titled Getting Over Mr Right and will be out - also - on the 4th Feb 2010!

According to the bookseller Jill Mansell’s next novel is titled Take A Chance On Me and is due out in February next year. Also good to know is Headline have struck a four-book deal with Jill and the books are being scheduled for release annually from 2011 with a hardback edition out in February and a paperback edition out in June.

It’s good to know some of our favourite authors - Jill, Melissa Hill - will be back with more books!

Jill Mansell is one of the UK’s best women’s fiction writers, and rightly so. She’s been writing books since 1991, when her first book Fast Friends was released. She’s since gone on to write another 19 books, all of which have been enormous successes. You can’t go into a bookshop without seeing a large chunk of a shelf taken up with Jill’s brilliant books!

“Jill Mansell lives with her partner and children in Bristol, and writes full time. Actually that’s not true; she watches TV, eats fruit gums, admires the rugby players training in the sports field behind her house, and spends hours on the internet marvelling at how many other writers have blogs. Only when she’s completely run out of displacement activities does she write.”

Tilly Cole is happy working in London, but realises that life isn’t going to plan when her latest boyfriend moves out while she’s at work. She decides she’s had enough and moves to the small town of Roxborough where her best friend Erin lives.

She gets a job working for a gay Interior designer and his daughter, basically as their dogsbody but soon begins to love village life. But when Max’s best friend Jack comes onto the scene, Tilly is knocked for six as she wasn’t expecting to be attracted to anyone so soon.

Tilly is soon caught up in the lives and loves of all of Roxborough, but is she going to find love even when she doesn’t want it?
