AW Book News: My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend by Elodia Strain

Jesse is looking for the “right guy.” When she bumps into Ethan, a despairing writer who she inspires, she thinks she’s found him. But only moments later she meets Troy, a successful advertising executive who makes almost every moment romantic. Both seem perfect, but things are not always what they seem. My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend is a fun romance that blends warm sincerity with fresh storytelling.
Recently, while taking a look some new releases coming out in the next few months I stumbled upon My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend by Elodia Strain on NetGalley. This was actually a book that had me thinking I’d seen it somewhere before and I wasn’t wrong! My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend was originally released as a movie back in 2010 and has recently made it’s way to the printed page. I’m always surprised when this happens because it seems more often to go from book to movie and not the other way around, but maybe that’s only what I pay attention to. Who knows?
So, what do you think? Does the idea of a Chick Flick turned into Chick Lit appeal to you? The book releases August 8th and I’m definitely going to pick it up, plus I’ll probably even watch the movie in the next couple of weeks because it looks fabulous! Take a look at the synopsis and possibly watch the movie trailer below, then tell me what you think in the comments!

I can’t wait to read this. And to see the movie. I LOVE Chris Gorham!

I started watching this movie and could not finish it. *Sad face.* Maybe I wasn’t in the right frame of mind. I am going to give it another shot this weekend.

Ooh! Funny to see it the other way round!
This definitely looks good, and I’m going to pick up the book and read it before I see the movie. I picked up the book adaptation of Morning Glory in NY (before seeing the film) and that was quite enjoyable.

I have seen the movie (huge Gorham fan) and recommend it highly! Great twist at the end! I would love to read the book.
