Why we like/dislike it: I’m still a little unsure about this cover overall. While I think it’s quite eye-catching and striking with the bold use of red and white, yet it does somehow look a little plain and dated at the same time. I don’t usually like real women being used on book covers, I prefer cartoon style but this one looks okay, although I’m not sure about half of her head chopped off and clutching random things, it doesn’t seem to gel too well. However, I think I would pick this up based on the cover, and while it could have been better, there were far worse covers out there.

Overall mark out of 10:

Would we buy this book based on its cover? Yes

Do Judge A Book By Its Cover is a new feature on Chick Lit Reviews, where we take a look at some of the best (and worst) Chick Lit covers in existence. No synopsis, no hint of the story, just plain old book cover judging, with marks out of 10!

I like it. It shows the busyness of the woman. I’d totally buy it!
