Cover Wars: Love Always by Harriet Evans

Posted By Chloe on May 12th, 2011

Browsing online one day, I stumbled across the American cover for Harriet Evans’ latest book Love Always. Now I really did love the English cover (right) when it first came out, the bright colour really jumped out at me but there is something about the US cover (left) that I really like. Usually I find US covers to be way off the mark but they’ve done a great job with this one, and I love them both, I don’t think I can choose!

Which do you prefer?!

Wow, that US cover is gorgeous! I would so buy that over the English cover. The only advantage the English cover has for me is that it matches more with Harriet’s other covers. But I’d buy the US cover anyways coz it’s so pretty!

I don’t normally prefer US covers, either, but I love this one and prefer it to the UK one.

The US cover is gorgeous and emphasizes the title.

I think the US cover is prettier anyway, but mainly I’d prefer it because it would match better with my others which are all the old style (not exactly the same look as that but more similar than the UK one). I wish authors wouldn’t revamp their covers suddenly like this!

I love the US one, I thought nothing would be better for Harriet Evans Love Always than the UK one, but wow! :)

I love both covers! Although I wish authors would continue with continuity of covers, I’m always eager to get to the text. I’d buy either book just because it’s written by Harriet Evans, covers notwithstanding. :)

I think the US cover suits the story of the book much better but i have to say that i did not particularly enjoy this book it was not as good as her previous books.

I actually like the UK version better. And the US version reminds me of this cover. http://images.barnesandnoble.com/images/95010000/95012695.JPG

the uk cover, its sweet

Given a choice, I would have to say that the UK cover is the one that I would pick up first if I saw it on display at the bookstore. The US cover is nice, too, however, it doesn’t jump out at me as much as the UK cover.

I love the US version, it has something about it that says, ‘buy me’, but like someone else stated, the UK cover was more closely matched to her other covers.
