Book Cover: You're The One That I Don't Want by Alexandra Potter
Thanks to the lovely Suzana at Bookalicious Ramblings, we now have the cover for Alexandra Potter’s new novel You’re The One That I Don’t Want, which is due out on 5th August. Alexandra posted it on her website, and I think it’s lovely, and it ties in with her older covers too. Here’s the synopsis again:
“What if you found your soulmate…
and then discovered you couldn’t lose him?
When Lucy meets Nate aged 18, it is love at first sight. As far as she’s concerned, he’s The One. Caught up in the whirlwind of first love, they kiss under the Bridge of Sighs in Venice at sunset and – according to the legend – are tied together indefinitely.
But ten years later, they’ve almost forgotten about each other. That is, until fate starts to bring them together. Again. And again. And again. It doesn’t seem as wonderful as it had before, but if Nate’s not The One – then why on earth is it proving so hard to break up with him?
A funny and magical romantic comedy about what happens when every girl’s dream of finding her dream man comes very true indeed…”

This cover isn’t really my favourite (too much green), but I’m soooooo excited for this book!

Green is actually one of my favourite colours. Another green cover I liked very much, was By The Time You Read This, by Lola Jaye. I actually wished it was MY cover.
By problem with these new covers is that, although they’re very beautiful, they’re starting to look a bit too samey. I also think that in the end, with all the cartoon women, swirls, flowers, hearts and butterflies, they will soon become just as dated as the old ones.

II’ve just finished my preview copy of Alexandra’s new book which I won from Chicklit Reviews. I enjoyed the book enormously and once I started it I couldn’t put it down. I loved the characters and laughed out loud in parts. I loved the Facebook status references. I just loved the book from start to finish and will not hesitate to recommend it to all my friends and work colleagues. Alexandra has written yet another fabulous book.
