When Ruth Bussey’s boyfriend Aidan confesses to murdering someone, Ruth is understandably shocked. Her shock deepens when her boyfriend tells her the name of the woman he murdered: Mary Trelease. The thing is Ruth knows a woman called Mary Trelease and she’s very much alive.
Ruth and Aidan separately visit the police to tell them of Aidan’s shocking confession - Ruth is adamant that Aidan hasn’t killed this woman whereas Aidan is even more adamant he did kill her. As Charlie Zailer and Simon Waterhouse begin to investigate, they unravel a series of coincidences in their bid to find out just why a man would confess to the murder of someone who’s seemingly still alive.

Hollie Hudson is happily married to husband Richard but craves one thing desperately: a baby. It’s all she’s ever dreamed about since she was a little girl and the fact she’s incapable of having a baby is driving her to distraction. After happening upon a leaflet for a surrogate Hollie comes up with the answer to all of her problems: she’ll ask her sister Scarlett to be her surrogate.
Scarlett, however, is nothing like homebody Hollie and has spent a couple of years in the Amazon rainforest desperate to come up with a solution to stop the rainforest being destroyed. Once PlanetLove, the organisation Scarlett works for, is taken over by a new group, Scarlett finds herself back in England to renew her visa and to try and raise money before heading back to Brazil. After Hollie asks Scarlett to be her surrogate, Scarlett realises she could raise the money she needs sooner than she thinks… Just how far will the two sisters go to realise their dreams?

Rosie Martin thought everything was fine with her marriage to Jonathan, until she discovers a text on his phone that makes it clear he’s having an affair. They decide that they have to divorce, but want to remain friendly for the sake of the children.

When Rosie meets not one but two men that are interested in her, she’s unsure what to do and if she should wait to find another man, or just try it out for size.
