Louise Douglas up for Brit Writers’ Award

Louise Douglas, author of The Love of My Life and Missing You, is up for a Brit Writers’ Award for Missing You - the only chick lit author nominated! - and we thought we ought to let you all know so you can vote for this fantastic book! There’s tough competition - Terry Pratchett! - so every vote will be vital.

All you need to do to vote is to either email the name of the winning book to [email protected], or text in your vote to this number here: 07772 311901. Only one entry is allowed and the winner will be announced on July 15th at the Brit Writers’ Award Ceremony!

Shortlist for Melissa Nathan Award for Comedy Romance 2010

The nominations for the Melissa Nathan Award for Comedy Romance 2010 have been announced, and they are a great selection of books. The awards are held in the honour of chick lit author Melissa Nathan who tragically died of cancer in 2006 aged just 37. Melissa’s books are all fabulous reads, so if you haven’t yet picked up one of her books, make sure you do!

The shortlist was announced in April for the Melissa Nathan Award for Comedy Romance and the winner will be announced in a week on June 10th. The shortlist are:
