Posted By Leah on August 23rd, 2011
In an exclusive, Miranda Dickinson has filmed a video about the term “Chick Lit”. Everybody has an opinion on whether Chick Lit is derogatory or a perfectly acceptable way to describe authors who write romantic comedies so it’s nice to hear from an actual, proper author on the subject! Enjoy!

Well said, Miranda! I use the term ‘romantic comedy’ too because that’s been around for a lot longer and describes my books better. I was influenced by all the fabulous rom com films from the 1950s and I love the term ‘rom com’ - it’s light and fun and not at all derogatory!
