AW Cover Wars: The Strip by J.J. Salem
Earlier this week Leah shared a brilliant review of the fabulous new book by J.J. Salem, The Strip. Unfortunately for US readers the book won’t be published here until November 8th, because I certainly think this could be the perfect beach read. Until then, those of us eager to read it here in the US can choose whether we might like the upcoming cover for the US version (on the left) or decide if we might want to pick up the UK version (on the right). Personally, I think I may be begging Leah to send me her copy because I love the UK cover so much, but US cover definitely depicts the setting quite well it’s just a bit too 80′s for me I think.
What about you? Which cover would you prefer on your shelves?

November is a VERY strange time to bring out a beach read! I really love both covers, I think I even prefer the US one this time around. The whole neon lights surrounding the title. The UK title doesn’t really represent Vegas at all, which is a shame though it is still a nice cover.

It’s SO funny how a cover can totally change how a book is perceived.
When I look at the UK book I think of the Sunset Strip in Cali.
It makes me think of a girl obsessed with her looks and money.
But when I see US cover it makes me think of Las Vegas Strip which makes me think of a gal going with her friends to Vegas.
Thus I don’t like the UK cover but I do love the US cover.
It’s full of possibilities and makes me want to look closer to see what is reflecting in her shades.
