Why we like/dislike it: Weirdly, I am really unsure about this cover. In one respect, I think it’s quite funny and with the inclusion of the frog certainly adds a comedy element, but in another way I don’t like it and think its looks a bit childish for my liking. I like the font used for the author’s name, and also for the book title, I think the colours work quite well too, green being an unusual colour in the chick lit genre, but might make it stand out a bit more. I think it’s going to be one of those marmite covers - you’re either going to love it or hate it!

I agree with Carole with regard to the frog. A bit of a missed opportunity as I think many chick-litters are swayed by a good cover.

I agree. I like this cover. The choices of colors and design but I think an illustrated frog would have looked better.

YUCK. I most definitely wouldn’t buy it.

I like it! It’s quite whimsical even though they did use a real frog rather than an illustrated one. In fact, I think the frog is rather cute. I would definitely pick this up and I would probably buy it based on the cover alone.

Based on the cover I wouldn’t but the book, I would turn over and read the description of the book on the back and if it sounded good I would buy it.

I agree somewhat with Aileen. I never let a cover hold me back. I usually browse titles, and this title would definitely grab me, but the clincher would be the blurb!
