Leah’s Books of the Year so far…
As we head into the second half of the year, I figured that since we don’t have many posts, I’d do a feature on the books I’d consider to be my books of the year so far. I’ve read quite a few books so far this year, but here are the ones so far that I’d crown my book of the year:

Of the 23, my top five would be: Heaven Scent, It Happened In Paris, A Girl Like You, The Summer We Came To Life and Best Kept Secret.
This is the book I’d crown my book of the year, if I had to choose now:

I’d love to know what book(s) you’d pick as your absolute favourites so far that were released in 2011!

I’ve read over 150 books this year so far. I’ve loved a good number of them. But picking a favorite would be too hard for me. I’d probably have a list two pages long! Hmm…I discovered Kiwi author Michelle Holman this year, and have read two of her books, “Bonkers” and “Divine.” I’ve absolutely loved them. They’d have to be my best books this year. I’ve also really enjoyed, “Celebrity Mother” by Deborah Wright, “My Bollywood Wedding” by Rekha Waheed, Libby Street’s two books, “The Accidental IT Girl & Happiness Sold Separately.” Caprice Crane’s books “Forget About It” and “Stupid & Contagious” have also been favorites. “Chasing Daisy” by Paige Toon, “Seeing Stars” by Christina Jones, “Honey Trap” by Julie Cohen, “Skipping a Beat” by Sarah Pekkanen, “I Did (But I Wouldn’t Now)” by Cara Lockwood, and “If You Lived Here, You’d Be Home By Now” by Claire LaZebnik have also been my favorites so far. And that’s all I can remember reading and loving. I’m sure they are more, but since I haven’t documented them, this is what I’ve got!

My favourites this year has got to me Melissa Hill’s something from tiffanys and casey hill taboo. Girl on the run, mum on the run and I’m sure there is more!
Good List leah, I am looking forward to the summer we came to life and attachments and midwifes confession.

It’s probably totally uncool of me to respond on here - but I’m thrilled that you picked Heaven Scent as one of your fav novels of the year so far! It was my favourite to write and I’m so pleased it’s getting such a positive response
Thanks for your support Leah, Chloe & Danielle xxx

For me, in no particular order:
Hester Browne’s Swept Off Her Feet
Gabrielle Donnelly’s The Little Women Letters
Hazel Osmond’s Who’s Afraid of Mr. Wolfe?
Rainbow Rowell’s Attachments
Still have quite a few 2011 release to read.
