Why we like/dislike the cover: And Then It Happened is Linda Green’s fourth novel and I was disappointed to see that she’s had a cover overhaul, even more so when the new cover is not as good as her previous ones. For me, the cover is just too dark. The sky was originally grey but it’s been lightened to a blue, but it still looks dank and dark. The black and white people should be coloured, we should see the reds or blues or whatever colour their clothes are. I think the title font is amazing, and I like the clouds, but honestly for me, it’s just too dark to appeal to me. I don’t see it really standing out on a shelf and I don’t think it would catch my eye.
Would we buy the book based on its cover? No.

Absolutely not. It’s so boring.

I love it too. It’s not chick lit, it’s actually quite a dark story and I think the cover goes with the content brilliantly.
