Cover Wars: The Birthday Party by Veronica Henry

Veronica Henry’s 2010 release The Birthday Party is back this summer with a brand new look for its paperback cover. I did love the original purple cover on the left, it seemed to suit the book and its title, whereas the new cover (right) is slightly muted, and certainly looks to be Veronica’s new cover look as it matches her short story collection The Beach Hut, also released in 2010. I do think both are gorgeous, and while I do love the new version, the old clinches it for me as I feel it suits the book more! Which do you like?

I absolutely love the breezy look of the new cover. I think the older version is too much like a dozen others out there. Whatever the cover is like, I’ll buy Veronica’s books. Love them! C : ) xx

I Prefer the older one, prettier, and plus the new one does seem to much like the beach hut!

I love them both! The older one is more colorful and girly, while the other one matches “The Beach Hut” cover.

I actually prefer the new one! I think if I were to see those both at the library, judging by their covers I’d definitely select the new one!
