Book News Exclusive: Don’t Let Me Go by Catherine Ryan Hyde

Posted By Danielle on March 17th, 2011

During a recent interview with author Catherine Ryan Hyde we discussed a bit about covers as well as her upcoming book, Don’t Let Me Go, which is due out September 29. Being that I’m a huge fan of Catherine’s as well as someone who adores book covers, I asked if Chick Lit Reviews might be able to reveal the cover for Don’t Let Me Go.

Graciously Catherine’s publishers, Transworld UK, agreed and I’m now extremely pleased to share with you the official cover and synopsis for Don’t Let Me Go; which I must say is quite stunning.

GRACE
Ten-year-old Grace knows that her mum loves her, but her mum loves drugs too. There’s only so long Grace can fend off the ‘woman from the county’ who is threatening to put her into care. Her only hope is…

BILLY
Grown-man Billy Shine hasn’t left his apartment for years. People scare him. And so day in, day out, he lives a perfectly orchestrated, silent life within his four walls. Until now. . .

THE PLAN
Grace bursts into Billy’s life with a loud voice and a plan to get her mum clean. But it won’t be easy, because they will have to confiscate the one thing her mum holds most dear . . . they will have to kidnap Grace.

Thank you so much to both Catherine Ryan Hyde and Transworld UK for this fantastic opportunity!

Wow this sounds a fab read and I ADORE the cover! It’s very eye catching and also love the purple, with the girl holding the key, makes you wonder doesn’t it? And the fact it says at the front “what if the only way to save your mother is to leave it” thats powerful stuff!
