Book Cover Change: The Celebrity Mother by Deborah Wright
Not only has it been postponed from its original release date of last summer, but Deborah Wright’s latest book The Celebrity Mother has also has a pre-release cover change too. I’m glad actually because this one is much more subtle and classy than the brash black and gold number that was previously seen. It’s still due for release on 21st January 2010, and here’s the synopsis again:
“Karina West was once the darling of the gossip pages and the top of the British pop charts. But now all that’s fading away, and she needs something more - something both to make her life more fulfilled and more importantly, to get her back in the tabloids. And how better to achieve this double whammy than by adopting a poor, needy child from a far-off country?
All that sweet, ten-year-old Devika wants is a new mummy who will take her away from her Delhi orphanage and let her have a home and a family again. She prayed to Krishna for this to be so, but was she ready for a blonde, British popstar to sweep her up and back to London?
Karina and Devika are soon front-page news, but neither of them realise just how far their emotional journey will take them.”

I cannot wait to read this. Deborah is one of the most talented chick lit writers out there and this is almost certainly going to be brilliant.
