Michael Joseph buys Faking It novel
September 7th, 2009 by LeahPenguin imprint Michael Joseph has bought UK, Commonwealth (including Europe) rights for Faking It by journalist Charlotte Kymberley Walsh.
Michael Joseph’s Kate Burke bought the debut title from Geraldine Nichol at the Book Bureau. The book is due out next summer.
Faking It tells the tale of Katie, an ordinary twenty-something, who breaks-up with her actor boyfriend
Jack and finds herself on the front pages of the tabloids when he leaves her for a famous actress. Overnight Katie becomes a celebrity and is offered a makeover that will change her life.
