Why we like/dislike it: Cecelia Ahern has had some very pretty covers. Her publishers know what works - simplicity is key for Cecelia’s novels and they use patterns and swirls and contrasting colours to create simple masterpieces. There’s no doubt that, for me, The Book of Tomorrow is my favourite Cecelia Ahern cover but I think The Time of My Life is just as beautiful and I think the gold will really pop against the dark blue in a hardback format. I can’t wait to see it properly, it’s just so gorgeous.
Would we buy the book based on its cover? Yes.
Do Judge A Book By Its Cover is a new feature on Chick Lit Reviews, where we take a look at some of the best (and worst) Chick Lit covers in existence. No synopsis, no hint of the story, just plain old book cover judging, with marks out of 10!

It’s pretty but I’m not sure if I would buy it based on the cover alone.

Nah, I was really disappointed by this cover. I might wait for the PB and hope they redesign it.

I got a copy for review (paperback) and the colour is a lot lighter than the computer image but maybe when on sale the actual ones for sale will be different - after all it will be in hardback. We shall see.
Great book though - check out my review: http://blogabooketc.wordpress.com/2011/09/24/the-time-of-my-life-by-cecelia-ahern/
