AW Book News: Jodi Picoult’s New YA Novel

It was just announced that Jodi Picoult has teamed up with her daughter Sammy to co-write a “young teen novel” titled Between the Lines due out in June 2012. According to Jodi’s Facebook update the book in a nutshell is about…

A prince who wants to break free from his fairytale existence…and the girl who falls for him while she’s reading. It’s sweet and romantic and funny.

Personally I think the premise sounds adorable and completely unique, which honestly kind of surprised me. In the recent past there have been a few different authors making the crossover from one genre or another into the Young Adult market and I’ve often wondered if the pursuit wasn’t all about money. I’m hoping, perhaps because I think Jodi’s a stand-up gal, that this was an honest attempt to try something new and with someone she loves spending time with. I’ll definitely be on the lookout for it come next Spring/Summer.

So, my question to Chick Lit Reviews readers is this, are you excited to see a new side of Jodi?

I love her style,its usually very thought provoking so i could see her being the perfect author to do a middle of the road book..not quite adult not quite YA.
Love the idea of it being a joint effort to
