Sophie Kinsella hits the magic 5 million!

Sophie Kinsella has joined the elusive ’5 million sales’ club in the world of publishing! Thanks to sales of her latest book Mini Shopaholic, Sophie has now surpassed 5 million book sales and joins the likes of Dan Brown, Marian Keyes, Maeve Binchy, Jodi Picoult and only a select few more. Only 15 fiction authors have ever hit the 5 million mark since monitoring began so it really is a special milestone to hit!

Oh wow! HUGE congratulations to Sophie but so very well deserved! I LOVE her books so much and have just finished Mini Shopaholic. Surely we can now officially crown her the Queen of chick lit? ;-) x

I’m sorry - but I hate her books (apart from the Undomestic Goddess). Her books are so clichéd, pathetic, predictable fluff that “lightweight” is a compliment.

There must be many sad women who actually read her rubbish
