Maz Harwood has had enough of London life for a while so when her friend Emma suggests she takes over Otter House Vets for six month while Emma goes on holiday with her husband Ben, Maz jumps at the chance.
Country life is nothing like City life and soon Maz finds herself not only knee-deep in sick animals but she also in the middle of a feud with the other vets in Talyton, Talyton Manor Vets. Maz also discovers that Otter House is in serious trouble and she feels she has to not only mend that but also her broken heart. Good job there’s a man on the scene helping to distract Maz. It’s just a shame he’s the competition’s son.

Lulu has always been the sensible member of her family. She has a good job as a psychologist, lives in a lovely flat and drives a fantastic car. However after a hectic day at work Lulu realises that she’s fed up of listening to other people’s problems and completely turns her life around. She opens up a pet behavioural office, trades her car in for a motorbike and moves into a trailer/caravan and she’s suddenly calmer than she has been in years. There’s even the hint of love on the horizon, but nothing ever runs as smoothly as expected and a tragedy forces Lulu to yet again re-evaluate her life and maybe, just maybe, face up to the problems she faced through her childhood.

Veronica Czaplicki hasn’t had the greatest start to the year particularly since her husband Hank told her he had found the love of his life and it turned out not to be her. Veronica’s life is made that much harder when everyone keeps mistaking her for new Hollywood starlet Haley Rush.
It comes as a surprise to Veronica when Haley’s manager, Jay, offers Veronica the chance of becoming Haley’s double - attending film premieres, a-list parties and constantly being papped - however after the shock wears off, Veronica immediately agrees. Pretty soon her life has turned into quite a whirlwind, particularly since she also has to balance her new life with looking after her son Ben. But when sparks fly with Haley’s alleged ex Brady, just what is a girl to do?

Fleur O’Farrell thinks that she has a pretty great life. She’s got a little boutique in the sleepy Irish town of Lissamore that does very well, a wealthy boyfriend Corban who seems to dote on here, and wonderful friends in the Kinsella sisters Rio and Dervla. Dervla’s just enjoying her new marriage when suddenly her mother-in-law who suffers with dementia has to move in with them, and Dervla finds herself having to be her carer. She’s horrified at the things she has to do for the elderly lady, but gets on with it to please husband Christian.
Around them, the town of Lissamore has been transformed with the arrival of a movie set called The O’Hara Affair. Fleur’s boyfriend Corban has ploughed a lot of money into the project, and she’s happy because a lot of her friends have got jobs through it. But as the film progresses, dark secrets are revealed, and a young member of the cast finds herself in a situation she doesn’t know how to get out of. With everyone being taken in by the glitz and glamour of the film, have they lost sight of their own problems?
