October 12th, 2009 by ChloeMelanie La’Brooy has a new book out next summer to be called The Wedding Planner. It’s due for release through Piatkus on 3rd June 2010, and sounds like a great read. Melanie’s latest book Babymoon is out now. Here’s the synopsis for her new book:
“Sabrina Falks is the golden girl - a beautiful, successful actor on a popular television soap, who has recently become engaged to the too-good-to-be-true Edward. Her life is glamorous and seemingly perfect - apart from her recurring desire to run away. Sabrina’s younger sister Mimi is funny and bright but also hopelessly lost; with no career prospects, no money, no love life and a string of disastrous mistakes in her past, all of which seem to be curiously related. Claudia is a successful wedding planner to the stars - who has her own reasons for accepting the job as Sabrina’s wedding planner. When Mimi returns from several years spent overseas, the sisters, who have been estranged for several years, are forced into reconciliation, when Sabrina reluctantly hires Mimi to be her bridesmaid. The sisters and Claudia then do battle; with intrusive paparazzi, out-of-control dress designers and, occasionally, with each other, in a meditation on celebrity culture, the modern wedding and the bittersweet bonds of family.”
