Bringing in a new telephone system can be an epic event, more trouble than fun, and to put it mildly an irritating experience as people grapple with trying to handle the new systems.
You need:
Inventory- Make sure you have all your hardware and software!
A good installation and service contract.
Customization for functionality- Your system must be able to do what you want it to do. (This is not exactly an unreasonable requirement. Any contractor who doesn’t get that very basic need isn’t worth doing business with.)
Installation by certified contractor employees, not subcontractors, who are at a remove from the coal face.
A built-in training system which allows staff to learn how to use the new systems effectively.
Focus on getting the results you want, not what’s on the glossy brochure. You’ll get it.
