The chlorine in conventional swimming pools is a problem. It’s a ferocious chemical, able to dye hair green, and it’s a powerful bleach. That’s not necessarily what you want to be swimming in. Nor do you want to be handling such a dangerous chemical all the time.
These are the driving forces behind a new generation of non-chlorine pool treatments. They’re interesting ideas, and they work!
Some of the non-chlorine products are good examples:
PristineBlue- A chemical additive used to treat water supplies and eliminate bacteria and algae.
Chlor-Free- This product isn’t so much a replacement for chlorine as a water treatment method. Chlor-Free oxidizes organic materials in the pool, cleaning the water.
BZT Pool and Spa- Another water cleaning treatment, this one is designed to prevent water rings around the pool caused by buildup of organic materials at the waterline as well.
