PPC Web Spy was invented by a guy called Brad Callen. The basic idea is to monitor advertising campaigns online and see which are more profitable. The theory, understandably, is that successful ads run a lot longer than the failures.
If you’re doing PPC ads of your own, this is a potentially very useful tool. It can be downloaded from Mozilla, (it only runs on Firefox) and all you need to do is download and install it.
When you’ve got the software, go to Google search. Do a search using a search term and you’ll get a range of PPC ads on the search page. Click the green button to view keywords. You’ll get stats including the keyword cost range, clicks per day and more.
Game changer? Yes, and a big one. This is a natural extension of SEO principles in a very practical form.
