Don’t take any chances with your valuable equipment! When you’re moving house, make absolutely sure your electronics are safe and secure!
You need-
- Solid containers- Preferably heavy duty boxes with solid cardboard
- Interior packing- Use a blanket or some other all-round cover. This gives you some temperature control (electronic equipment can be wrecked by getting too hot) by insulating the equipment while it’s on the road.
- Bubble wrap- If you can get it, more is better. Wrap the equipment solidly, at least two layers.
- Masking tape- This will support your packing materials and keep the packing air tight, reducing dust issues.
When packing-
Pack systematically and check to make sure the equipment isn’t able to move around. Bumps can do damage.
When loading-
Keep your electronics away from any heavy items when moving and secure. They should sit tightly in place and have no risk of falling or impact from other solid, bulky items. (Your removalists will understand if you ask for these things.)
Hope that helps!
