Sydney is a great place to backpack. It’s also a great place to stay, and finding a good hostel comes with quite a few advantages. The Sydney hostels are what you’d call “well-tuned” to backpackers. They’ve been hosts to hundreds of thousands of backpackers, so they know their stuff.
When you stagger in with your pack and a healthy jet lag, they get it. When you want to go out and have fun and come back with a happy smile and not all that sure about being vertical, they get it. (As long as you’re cool about it yourself) They also make sure you’ve got your stuff together when you book in and out, and they’re fountains of local knowledge, good to have.
As long as you’re there, you’ll also find that they put on a lot of services, special nights and more, too. They do a very good job of making backpackers feel welcome and generally making your stay pleasant. They’re good people, and helpful when you need help.
Come to Sydney, and you’ll have no worries, as the Aussies say.
